Half Year Gone yet again..

Just sharing with you, I have been chasing my 2007 KRAs and so far it has been progressing well though, some areas have been extra volatile from the beginning of the year till the closing of Q2. Reflecting back, time really flies.. another 6 months gone with the wind. By mid of next month, my KL bosses will be squeezing me for projection of Q3 & yes...Year end closing...

In corporate, tracking performance is much easier job...hey..how about our own life ? have we make any progress reporting ? presentation to the home ministry for approval ? How much have we make good with our loved ones ?

It is good to spare sometime for self-reflection on your 2007 Personal Goals..

One friend told me,...we are working just because we need money and we work for money...but one day when we have enough, then we will work to pass time...Well, whatever it is, I am saying we must quickly work smart and hard to complete our stuff way before the traditional 55 age of retirement (can look at 40?), and we should start prepare for the next phase ...doing what we want, observing the growing process of our kids and give them the best attention and advices, spend time with our wife or loved ones and kopitiam with our friends whilst money is not an issue to be concern...

For now...let's work hard to make our 2008 Reunion a success. Get commitment from our friends to attend the gathering, if they do not come, just make sure that they contribute sponsorship says minimum RM100.00.

e.g RM100 x 100 = RM10,000.00 - we can donate a new sets of reference books to our library.

Let the fun starts rolling in...

For IT geeks................

Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0,Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6 including BEERS Night 11.5. In addition, View Women 6.5 was completely erased!.I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0.

Please help!

Thanks,
A Troubled User.

Remembering the 80's - A Better Tomorrow

One of the most enduring memories of my time in SHS was the "Mark Kor" craze that started when I was in Form 3 and went on for quite a few years.

Yes, I am referring to the movie that spawned a thousand imitations - A Better Tomorrow.

I remembering attending a school concert in 1987, and one of the singers sang the theme song to the movie, and everyone in the school hall roared their approval.

The movie affected our thinking in many ways - about loyalty, brotherly love, honour, and of course, about being cool and gritty :)

Here's a selection of links I found on the net for eveything Mark Kor:-

Hi everyone, a bonus! Suhardy, who was in 5 Science 2 with me, has kindly scanned and sent me the colour photos of 5 Science 2 1988 and Upper Six Arts 2 1990. Thanks Suhardy!

If anyone of you could do the same for their collection of old photos and send to me, that would be fantastic!

Remember 1988 - Part 3 : 5 Sains 3

Eric has been waiting for this :) Next is 5 Sains 3, which had "one armed swordsman" Mr. Ong as its form teacher. This class was also famous for its good rapport with En. Azman, who did a great job ensuring everyone got good results in BM (then called Bahasa Malaysia, and now called, errr, Bahasa Malaysia again).

Mr. Ong was my mentor who encouraged my interest in computers and put me on the path to where I am today.

Remembering 1988 - Part 2 : 5 Sains 2

As promised, here is the class photo of 5 Sains 2, the class I was in. I still have fond memories of Madam Yii, even though she disliked me for being lazy :)
