The Best Group Photo Of 2009

" Photo indeed expresses thousands of words..."

and I can resist this great feeling of putting this one on the blog (partly because Ivy was chasing for written report of our journey)....as many of you may know of our Quest to Mount Kinabalu on 1st May 2009 (Chuan Yew was not in the picture as he has moved up very quickly to beat his best time)

I would like to invite fellow BMs to put in their personal heart feeling on this experience together...

MGB : Personally, a great time with BMs...emotionally run through 20 hours of process...though not able to be standing on the platform 4,095m above sea level...(I will be going again very soon...to complete what I have started...of course with BMs...

(below are extras...)

if you want to see more photos, please go to Heroes, Mr Tee, Martin, Tee Too's facebook. You will not be dissappointed....

Indeed it was a great and memorable moment to be together with them after almost 20 years (side note: 7 of us never travel together during our school day)and furthermore, to conquer Mount Kinabalu was a dream came true to all of us as BMs Seven...

Although only one of us (Dr. Martin Wong) managed to reach on the top but I must say that the experiences throughout the whole journey were the unforgettable real life experiences for all of us.

So close but felt so far. This was the feeling when I decided to give up. Both mentally and physically were down. For the first time in my life, I really gave up!

For those who haven't try, go for it. It is a real challenge.

Having done this trip with the BMs (7 of us) marked a new chapter of our friendship.

Check out our photos on our facebook.

Looking forward to conquering Mt KK.....either 2nd half of 2009 or Apr/May 2010.

To the only one who reached the top, Dr. Martin, CONGRATULATIONS!!! To those who fail, let looking forward for the 2nd try...

To me, nothing is more valuable than 20++ years friendship... Just imagine, how many 20 years we have in our life... Thanks to all BMs (6 of u).

To others, check out this blog as regularly as possible. Make sure you join us for the 2nd conquer (just received sms from BM6. Planning to go ts Nov). Hope to see all of you ...

I must say MGB has aptly captioned this post, can't agree more that it's the BEST group photo for the year!

Am waiting for the other 3 Magnificents to post their experience...maybe need someone to sms our 2 busy docs and our 4th-time climber in KL.

p/s so now you all are numbered ah? We don't know who is 1, nor who is 7 lah...

I feel quite embarrassed for many of you are much fitter than I physically. Attributed to luck, perseverance and stupidity (for ignoring bad weather with potential danger).

For me, nothing is more valuable than friendship; spending time together. It's a rare phenomenon nowadays that secondary schoolmates could gather once again after 20 years in "uniforms" to conquer a common goal.

Frankly speaking, the best moment for me was when all BMs gathered at Marina apartment for the overnight. I was overjoyed with the company! It was like coming back 'home' once again.

The worst was when deciding to give up the conquer. I was near having hyperthemia.

BM1 Eric Phang Kok Sey
BM2 Melvin Lau Tee Too
BM3 Dr Lau Ngi Chuong
BM4 Liu Chuan Yew
BM5 Dr Martin Wong
BM6 Stephen Yii Chui Lik
BM7 Paul Ting Kah Lung

Thanks to all the BMs! Let make it happen again. BM6, is it ON for this Nov? I'm in! BM4's spouse may join in as informed earlier!

From what I heard from Heroes, there was great fellowship during the whole trip. Wah, I really jealous lah :)

Congrats to all BM's despite the shortfall due to bad weather. Gambate for the next attempt!
