Make Some Noise !

This photograph is a courtesy from Sarawak Tourism Board...showing a Dayak family in preparation for the "grandest" mid year celebration...just another 10 days away...

I used to visit longhouses during Gawai celebration and the atmosphere is fantastic with good food, "tuak", great natural music and ngajat dancing with girls. The overnight visitation also include jungle trekking and site visit to their farm, sungai and the resting places. I think the last of such visitation was way back to 1990, just before leaving SHS...

Nowadays , I have only visited Dayak friends within city boundary...a different environment of course.

Pak Ted, any special trip can be arranged ?

It's been many years I didn't visit longhouse during Gawai. Last year I was visiting a few of my dayak friends outside Kuching but not longhouses.

This year I don't know I could make it or not as I am still in KL and might not be able to go back in time.

To all my dayak friends, Happy Gawai.

Hi Ted, thank you for your invitation but unfortunately I am still in KL and only be back to Kuching probably early July.

I just missed the Rain session. The last trip I went with MGB sometime end of April, the lady Yen was not there already.

MGB, from where u knew Yen is at fortune land?

Heroes, don;t you know that MGB is a kind of person who cannot sit still and always on the move.

He has a wide network, I pressume. And through his network he got that infor. Am I right, MGB?
