Eric has been waiting for this :) Next is 5 Sains 3, which had "one armed swordsman" Mr. Ong as its form teacher. This class was also famous for its good rapport with En. Azman, who did a great job ensuring everyone got good results in BM (then called Bahasa Malaysia, and now called, errr, Bahasa Malaysia again).
Mr. Ong was my mentor who encouraged my interest in computers and put me on the path to where I am today.
As usual, click on the photo to zoom.

Where is Mr. Ong now? Who among us has the privilege of having thrown the chalk or the blackboard duster thrown at him by Mr. Ong?
I do remember he is from Malacca. And still remember how he negotiated roundabouts with his motorbike, very unstable one. Hope he has an automatic transmission car now.
I don't think he was married when he taught us. Is he married now?
One thing I observed about pictures and people, how they pose for pictures are opposites of who they are in real life.
Case in point our Mr. Ong. In this picture smiling, you remember him being that naturally friendly? I don't.
Based on the last info I found on the Net, I think he's in SMK Raja Uda, Penang.
I was never taught by him, so I didn't know his stern side :)
I was trying to remember Mr. Ong's full name, I think it was Ong Chin Kim.
well well well....finally 5S3 is in front of me...thanks pat for yr effort...
where am i???? to be frank, at first i can't find myself without the help of the name below the photo....what happen to my hair at that time? it was curly and look so messy.....how am i going to face my friends if i look like that now...hahahaah...
Dont forget those (of us) in the Arts Stream...we were there together.
Yup, yup, Arts classes photos coming, sorry for the delay :)
just can't help laughing and kicking seeing our look in the 80's. RM100 to those who turn up during 2007 re-union and look EXACTLY like in the class photo.
Mr Ong married a Kuching ah moi. I saw him in the late 90's when he was there for the wedding preparation.
Tee, even a million ringgit will not bring back those times we have fun together.
We are really getting older...only holding on this last pieces of information to reflect its sweetness.
Thanks Patrick for this good piece of you.
Cheers
Mr. Ong is really friendly. So is Steven Tan. Both are great teachers in their own right. No matter how intimidating they seem, you only need to open your eyes to see that they do care. Just like Bro Albinus. My first day in secondary school, my pa was late to pick me up. Without means to call, I had to approach the Big A - he was like a 20 foot monster to me that time. I would have peed in my pants if I had not urinated beforehand. But turns out, he took me to his office, let me use his phone and waited with me for my pa. Won't forget those moments. Mr. Ong and Steven offered some precious advise when others care not. I can't say the same for some other teachers though.
