Received this newspaper cutting from Joseph a few minutes ago. Thank you Joseph. Sorry I can't translate what it said in there eventhou they put my name Suhardy Ting in the school magazine. Please help because some of us are anxious to know. :)
Great to see the newspaper cutting but I noticed there is an error on the wording. The followings are the translation (roughly):-
[For the BIG Mandarin words] = SHS Alumni donated computer to their Alma Mater
[The small words on the right top corner] = 200 over SHS 1988 Form Five Alumni donated laptop, desktop computer and books to their Alma Mater. It was presented to SHS principal by Mr. Wong Keing Tai yesterday morning.
[The small words in the photo] = Alumni's representative Mr. Wong Kieng Tai (Left) was presented the donation items to the principal, Mr. Vincent Liong (Right)
Joe, A safer way to write ur email on web is josephskmathotmaildotcom. This may prevent ur mailadd being picked up by some web crawler for spamming purpose.
Considering SMK Sacred Heart is a national language school, why not the donation advert done in Eng/BM newspaper? Lots of bro and sis here 'missed' out the cut. Just my 2cents.
Should there be any ladies donor, oops the reporter might get the spanking for missing them out big time.
many are asking why there is no familiar teacher faces. Well the reason is because many have retired. It has been 20 years we left the school, remember? Secondly, for this kind of function, it is the head of the departments who are normally invited to attend. So, those unfamilar faces in the photos are head of various departments.

As for newspaper, there were about 3 or 4 reporters on that day and there was one asking me question in Eng. I pressume the news will be appeared in the english newpaper in few days time. Having said that, I have no quarantee as this an unpaid news. It is the reporter that decide the day the news to be published, beyond our control.
Dealing with press, we must always be prepared to have the statement/news typed out first...if not this is the result.
That is why politician like them and always treating them annual gathering as when something wrong is uttered by them...they said the press twisted it and they did not say such statement. So, I guessed they are right...the press does have twisting hands...:)
