As with Ivy, I also have difficulty in just saying "John". I would always call him "jonfam". I doubt it if John Fam actually remembers me, but the above picture was taken when we were sending Brother John Albinus off at Sibu Old Airport, ending his tenure at Sacred Heart. The faces I remember in that picture is Ignatius Yong (correction by Ivy), our then Scoutmaster who also happened to be a Taekwondo Instructor (I think at that time, 1987, he already has 2nd or 3rd Dan). Kong Soon Shu, my classmate in 2A3 and 3A4, Thadeus, Francis Tiong, our junior in SHS who is now a successful Shell engineer. I believe that was Jimmy Ting King Kong at the back of the Penolong Kanan with his face barely seen.Also our incoming Principal then, Samuel Tan Yan Pheng.
There were a few Scouters in that picture but I could not remember their names.

Actually there was a reason why I didn't hold back during that test.
You see, a lot of the black belters were women, and they were cheering my opponents, "kick higher, Jane! knock him off, Jane".
I had to shut these supporters off.
And at any rate, all three girls were collegiate representatives to World Taekwondo Championship the next year.
So it was not like I was taking candy from a kid.
Hansac, I may not be in the pic but it certainly makes my bulu roma stand...the significance of the photo, whew!

DAVID GOH! The big guy behind Valentine. Chieng Yew Guan also I remember, who was tall and in Form 4, still insist wearing shorts for scouting.
Oh ya Ivy, one thing. Let's have some girlie pictures in here. Too many man-pictures. It doesn't matter if they never did go to SHS. If they are your friends, and you are my friends' friend, they are my pengyou too!!!

This photo was quite bittersweet for me. For some reason, me and Stephen Chung got the flight time wrong and arrived at the airport too late to see Bro. Albinus off.
On the other hand, its a wonderful pic, its perfectly captures the kind of relationship we all had with Bro. Albinus, and his care and concern for each one of us, that to this day we are all very grateful for.
Can someone in Kuching make contact with him and see if he can make a trip to Sibu during CNY next year?
Hey, this is a 20 years old photo...cant remember the date but it is in 1987.
My mum & dad were also in the picture. They are not scout though,...but were there out of respect for Abai. I believe most parents were grateful for his regime rules for at least 20 years ++
I was also there back in the pictue among to RCs waiting for our turn to take...will show you mind version...:)
