Wow. Sibu looks like a river ran through it.My parents called me up last week to tell me about the floods. I didn't realize its that bad.
It is worst than yesteryears. Those palces never flooded also been flooded...A lot of losses financially and hardship...and I hope no life will perish in this unfortunate event.Hope Sibu will regain stronger progress with Govt reenforcing their thinking for future prevention or at least in better drainage system extra.With global warming increases and our climate changes, may be it is good to redesign the new houses to be built on concrete stilts?
It's really bad and worst than before. I was staying at Jalan Oya, Lane 21 which is next to St.Elizabeth and almost every time it will flood when heavy rain. The deepest was about 3 to 4 feet. I think now getting worst!
