Girl Power in Sibu

My visit back to Sibu last Friday was one to be remembered as a few of us lost-touch-long-time-ago St.E girls got together for a drink. We actually caused quite a commotion at the eatery that we met at (hulu or hilir Jalan Hua Kiew, not sure which is which).

I managed to find my precious photo album from my house at Oya Road and so brought some photos to the get-together, so instead of ordering our drinks everyone was busy pouring over the photos. I think the tauke-nio was a bit annoyed. Lots of stories resurfaced and we had a good laugh over Siaw Chen's incident in the SHS library (anyone remember it?) - I know Siaw Chen is sporting enough for me to bring it up on the blog.

We took some photos but the group photo with everyone in it (the staff at the place took it for us) is quite blurred. So I'm going to post 2 photos here - one which Ing Hee took, and the other one which I took....pai seh, the one I took also blurred. Enjoy!

From right: Siaw Chen, Sung Hua, Ik Tching, Mong Li, Jacinta, Mei Yuin, Tieng Meing and Ing Hee (apologies if some names are not correctly spelt)

Ivy, you need to learn the shooting skill from Ing Hee. Comparing the quality of the 2 photos. Ing Hee had a clearer shot 8-)

Use a tripod or buy a camera with anti vibration and that will solve the problem. I think you do not have stabil hand and that's why the photo is blur.

Wei, you two, I alrdy apologise for the poor shot that I took leh, still want to add salt to my wound!

No lah no lah, kidding only. The camera's not mine, tht's why not so used to it. I'm sure you've heart that excuse before, heh heh..

Sometimes we hv blurr perspective...may be due to a lot of excitement especially working hard to gather all these "taukeneons" of Sibu. This could probably has translated into Ivy's shaking hands...

But if this prolong...this may due to Alzheimer's as one of the symptom is shaking hands..(I thought this has similarity to someone said of loss of memory, database etc before in the blog)...hehehe.

Whatever it is, go work Ivy, bravo to the 1st reunion of the G-force...at least I can update their faces again in my memory banks.

Yup, I've got everyone's contact nos. But to invite all of them to 2008's reunion will need you guys to ok something first.

From the photo, Ik Tching, Mong Li, Jacinta and Tieng Meing did not join us in Form 6.

What are your say about having the girls who didn't come to SHS (but still our year) joining in the fun?

Ivy,
I recall the Siaw Chen's incident at the library!

Pity her but to tell the truth, I had a stomache cramp after the laugh!

Ivy said...

Yeah...I remember a couple of you guys were almost rolling with laughter on the floor at the verandah. I think it was Joseph Sia and Siong Mee.

But Anthony Ting will always stay in Siaw Chen's good books...Siaw Chen told us that as she went into hiding in the processing room,Anthony was the only one who went into the to ask if she was ok! Thumbs-up for Anthony!

Please let me know what's happening to Siaw Chen?

Ivy said...

William, to know what's happening to Siaw Chen now (hopefully good things), you'll have to call her to ask!

To know what happened to Siaw Chen in the library room abt 17 years ago, you'll have to be at next year's reunion!

Ivy, are you totally sure on opening this challenge ??? not under any influence or distress ? or you are trying to scoop for something else :)

Ing Hee, actually I do not recall any such incident though may have heard from the Ting's brother...and I am sure, Siaw Chen is a real sporting friend where I have known her in my Red Cresent time.

Ummm...I only had coffee today and my hubby has no plans yet to take on a 2nd wife, so no, I'm not TUI (talking-under-influence) of drugs or stress.

Can't recall any major bleeps I did in school...maybe the one at the squash court counts - I was terrible at the game, went on the court and took a swipe at the ball. After my swipe, the ball never hit back at the wall, it was just gone!!

High and low we searched, scratching our heads, only to realised in the end that it had gotten stuck to the little triangle space right between the net and handle of my squash racket. Huh! Nicole David pun kalah!

Ivy, :( No face to see u people in next reunion. Really want to 'kill' Ing Hee for bringing up this matter.

I didn't know that Mr. Tee, Joseph & Siong Mee had enjoyed themselves every much after the incident. I thought only Anthony knew about it. Thanks Anthony for being so kind. Not like those people 'xin zai le huo'.

Bravo to u too, Ivy for not telling what really happened during that day. NOt like one of our friend, pity me at first n 'BONGKAR' everything. Spoil the fun.

Actually I want to tell u all about this interesting story during the reunion. BUT .... now, need to find to find new one.. :(

Well, its feel good to remember all the good & fun times that we had in Form Six. Cheers to u all.
