Selamat Hari Raya

Though our Muslim classmates are handfootful, every year, we are very eager to have such visiting and wishing all of them, Selamat Hari Raya.

Sepatah dua pantun for you all;
Negara kita aman sentosa
Jangan dilupa orang terinyanya
Makan sudah baju bergaya
Orang fakir jangan dilupa

Sungai disusur sehari-hari
Dalam gelap menangkap ikan
Kami menyusun sepuluh jari
Salah dan silap harap maafkan

Aidilfitri hari kemaafan
Menghapus kesalahan sesama insan
Memupuk perpaduan sesama ehsan
Mengikat tali keakrapan
For those driving back or travelling, be extra careful, as not only your family needs you, we at SHS8890 all need your support always. Cheers...

Thank you Ivy/all.

Every year my household prepared a lot of food, not many people come, since my friends in Bintulu would think I go back to Sibu every raya, even though in reality, I've stopped going back to Sibu for raya since 1999.

Even though the food was not wasted, it took us days to finish off the lemang, curry, satay sauce, rendang. Sometimes I got so tired of eating those dishes that I sneaked out to get kfc, :P :D

The small popiahs and other tidbits, cookies, would be utilized for watching tv instead of for guests during raya.

Some of the cakes did get mouldy and have to be thrown away.

Hahh!!?? So sayang!! I LOVE malay food and malay cakes (the steamed ones cos they're moist), so you can imagine how I'm hurting to hear that you throw them away, AARGGGH!!!

Wanna consider taking a trip to Kuching with all the cakes & stuff...? heh heh...

The "steamed" (steamed for 8 hours or so) won't get mouldy for a few months. But it is not popular, either. It is the layered cake, the "kek sabun", and a few other cakes that get mouldy after two weeks.
